When it comes to money, I want you to try on new beliefs:

• You get to make a lot of money AND use your soul gifts.
• Having a ton of money and being in a state of thriving and soulful living can coexist.

We’ve been conditioned to believe that making a lot of money is the result of climbing rung by rung with a hammer, sweating our ass off, and throwing our back out to crack the glass ceiling.

A ceiling which, by the way, isn’t just there for women and minorities. They absolutely face a different and more oppressive ceiling. But the truth is, many of us are still boxed in by the limitations of linear career paths.

There is a ceiling in every system on purpose.

But what happens if we remove causation from the money + passion project equation?

This probably goes against nearly every incubator program out there that claims your side hustle is what will build you massive wealth because “there’s no glass ceiling when you’re your own boss.” And I call BS. And I say that as someone who recently started their journey as an entrepreneur!

That belief still keeps the same causation equation alive in our minds:

Hustle causes wealth.
Exhaustion equals (eventual) payoff.

What we’re really bumping up against here are some deeply embedded money narratives in American culture:

• Artistic martyrdom: I must monetize my gifts and creative pursuits. And I must make them scale.
• Capitalist boo-hockey: I must grind harder and harder just to survive.

Let's raise a glass together and cheers to the fact that these are not Universal Truths. They are subconscious programming that we get to upgrade.

So let’s return to this new idea again:

• I get to make a lot of money and use my gifts.
• They can be connected, but they are not required to be codependent.

Your gifts are part of your life force. The more you use them and allow the world to respond to and receive them, the more alive and energized you tend to feel.

The more alive you feel, the more you are in alignment with infinite ways of being supported by the Universe. Not JUST by money.

That's what we're really after right? Being supported in a multitude of ways. Money. Connection. Resources. Health. Inspiration.

All of these things expand and provide for us. And we start by expanding our beliefs about how this all gets to work for us.
